This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information of visitors and users of the Site and related services (the “Services”). By using the Site, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Site.
1. Who we are
The IS–SK Chamber is a non-profit, bi-national business association that promotes trade, investment, innovation, and collaboration between Israel and Slovakia.
2. Legal grounds for processing
We process personal information (“ Personal Information ”) under: contractual necessity (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)), and consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) where required (e.g., non-essential cookies, newsletters). You may withdraw consent at any time. Given our EU-facing activities, we apply the GDPR where applicable, alongside Israeli privacy law.
3. What we collect
3.1 Personal Information (forms only)
We do not collect Personal Information unless you voluntarily submit it via a form on our Site (e.g., contact, membership, event/delegation registration, B2B matchmaking).
- Contact details: name, email, phone, organization, role, country.
- Submission data: the information you choose to provide in the relevant form (e.g., membership application, event registration, matchmaking profile, general inquiry).
3.2 Non-personal/aggregated information
When you browse the the Site without submitting a form, we collect only non-personal, aggregated technical data to operate and improve the Site (e.g., browser/device type, operating system, language preference, referrer URL, pages viewed, time on page, approximate geolocation derived from IP, and pseudonymous analytics identifiers). We do not sell Personal Information.
4. How we collect information
- Directly from you — only when you submit a form.
- Automatically (non-personal data only) — via cookies and similar technologies during browsing (see “Cookies & analytics”).
- From service providers — technical events or delivery status from hosting/analytics tools.
5. How we use information
- Operate the Site and provide Services you request (respond to inquiries, process membership/event forms, facilitate introductions).
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve performance and content relevance (analytics).
- Communicate updates and resources (with consent where required).
- Comply with legal and bookkeeping obligations.
We do not sell personal data.
6. Sharing and international transfers
We may share data with trusted service providers(hosting/CMS, analytics, email/newsletters, event tools, AI presentation layer) solely to operate the Services. Transfers outside the EEA rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses). We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights/safety, investigate abuse, or in organizational restructuring.
7. Cookies & analytics
We use strictly necessary (session), functional (persistent), and analytics cookies to operate the Site and understand aggregate usage.
Where implemented, our cookie banner allows you to manage non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics) and update your choices at any time. Where Google Analytics is used, we enable IP anonymization where available.

8. Data retention
We retain Personal Information submitted via forms only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Policy and to meet legal obligations.
Examples: general inquiries – up to 12 months after resolution; event/delegation records – up to 24 months post-event (unless legal obligations require longer); membership records – during membership and a reasonable period thereafter for bookkeeping/legal requirements. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege). No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
10. Your rights
Subject to law (e.g., GDPR/Israeli law), you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction/objection (including for direct marketing), portability (where applicable), withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a Data Protection Authority (EU contacts: https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en ).

11. Children
The Site is intended for users 16+. We do not knowingly collect children’s data. If you believe otherwise, contact daniel@zimet.co.il and we will act promptly.
12. Third-party links
Our Site ( https://www.israel-slovakia.org ) may link to third-party resources (embassies, government portals, events). Their privacy practices are separate; please review their policies.
13. Intellectual Property & Content Notices
We make every effort to respect the copyrights and intellectual property rights of all content owners. If you believe any material on the Site is inaccurate, contains an error, or constitutes unfair or unauthorized use, please notify us and we will review and, where appropriate, promptly correct or remove the content.
Please include: (i) a description and URL of the content, (ii) the reason (e.g., copyright ownership, accuracy, permissions), and (iii) your contact details.
